What’s the story with Women’s CL this year?…Do they follow the same comp structure as men’s central league?
The WCL regulations are still aligned with MCL2, since it's a Capital/Central Fed competition rather than an NZF one like the MCL. In particular they have similar transitional provisions for the new 2027 league structure - no relegation this year and the future promotion pathway into WCL to be determined following consultation.

One difference from MCL2 is that entry into the 2027 Women's National League is already spelt out:

* Top four NRFL teams (where "top" is a weighted average of 2022-2026 performance)
* Top two WCL
* Top two WSL
* Nix and AFC Reserves (implying AFC will have a Women's Reserves team up and going by then)

I know there are questions around whether MCL2 will still exist in 2027, but sounds like WCL's future is pretty solid?

Wharfies and Petone looking strong…Along with Wellington United as usual despite a bit of players moving out of town by the looks!.
Just saw that United moved on their coach from last year and have gone back to old ways…tough gig with a 100% record in the regular season competition!!!!
