Can see why the group of owners didn't want to fund the Jets anymore, they will be struggling to fund their own clubs with the TV rights pay out being halved.

The thing is, given the way the APL has been running of late, most of the clubs could have probably foreseen this occurrence.

It feels like a very slow moving trainwreck at the moment, but it's going to cause a lot of damage taking $12-13 million out of the league as a whole. Not good.

Seems like CCM and the Nix may have done just that - seen the writing on the wall and made adjustments accordingly. Some of the bigger clubs might struggle going forward.

This is true. Lots of youngsters on our books - Supyk, Sloane-Rodrigues, Kelly-Heald, Conchie, Paulsen, Surman, Hughes, Sheridan (few scholarships in there too) who would have been relatively cheap in terms of cap space - especially so given none of them were really proven at A-League level prior to this season either.

Gives me hope that we might be able to bring through a couple more over the next year or two and introduce them to A-League football. It doesn't give me any confidence that we may be able to keep the likes of Kosta or Kraev though, given they already probably take up a fair chunk of the cap.
