Dome's thinking the crowd at Eden Park may hit 25,000 against SFC in March. They got  8,327 on 25th Nov against Melbourne City at Mt Smart.

Sometime tell Mr Foley he's basing his new franchise at the wrong ground, until a a shiny downtown stadium is built.

Yes factors at play like Nix are now top of the table, some hype is building, is ex coach Uffy coming to town etc etc. But the consistently pull in the crowds at EP. It's just so much better as a game day experience. Plus Nix are unbeaten there??

What is it about Eden Park that you think makes for a better game day experience? You may be the first person I've come across who thinks so

Depends what you are into I guess. Love the energy and vibe of Sandringham pre game. Love that if I feel energetic I can walk there from the city, and/or walk back into the CBD fringe like K Road's bars post game. Otherwise lots of public transport options.

Also I like the feel of Mt Eden, with it's leafy nearby streets, plus the fact Eden Park has a lot of history. It's also very central to all parts Auckland. On all these  facets it's superior to Mt Smart in ugly industrial souless Penrose. The crowd sizes are regularly bigger at EP for football games, so I can't be the only one feeling the same. Sure there is more hype around the Nix now than in November, and Dome is maybe being overly optimistic for the SFC game in March (it may end up pissing with rain on the day) - but if the crowd is 3x actually larger in size - well that's a loud statement.

But yeah also helps that my uncle lives just off Dominion Road, so I have been to EP alot over the years for rugby, cricket and Nix playing there.
