But a strong season in the A league and he could potentially look at other European leagues too. 
Anyway, that’s a strong statement from AFC, signing a kiwi who’s already a pro and had a contract for a decent level. 

You’ve got to remember Smith looked okay, but Mata is coming out of a season of playing a lot of minutes at a higher level than Smith. Smith has spent the last 3-4 years in and out of the line ups at two League Two clubs. Potentially very exciting.
