Procrastinixing
Meh, I don't care for his reasoning.  Has he heard of saying No.  No one forced him to support our rivals who have a shark ton more money than us.  Plenty of other ways he could help grass roots football if he wanted to.

“I feel a real sense of needing to repay some of the opportunities that that I was given through the game.”

Wasn’t the Knights buddy. It was Terry and the Nix.

Such a hero of mine, both with his play, his involvement in the promotion around 2009 and 2010 and his subsequent career.

But losing a bit of respect that through all the wobbles the Nix went through being based overseas, the license dramas, and then through propping up other clubs in the league, I’m sure they would have been fine with a contribution towards keeping the academy going or getting the women’s team started. If the first NZ A league club falls over, then it’s much less likely we’re talking two or three.

Is it an investment he thinks he can see a return on? Rather than a contribution towards an enterprise losing money.
