Oh man, I’m so conflicted.

I wanna like Auckland FC, to the point I had a dream we went to an away function to watch them.

But also Corica and McFlynn are some of my least favourite opponents and damned if I’m letting them off being who they were!

And being honest so far the Port guys have fit in with that too.

I’m getting aware that both my caps are blue now too. Which used to be a primarily Japanese football colour, but someone has sent me an Aces one and that’s very close.

But I really like the Springs location and the idea of an 18k seater is great. Only problem is the same as here. You get a big game there it will sell out in advance and catch you out. Happened to me twice here.

Hope they can get the stadium done in a year or two. Again- cash determination and hopefully a well known site (with all the water flow considered!)

I wonder who after Paulsen who will be the first real transfer Judas. Be gutted if Gothard went there tbh. Always enjoyed his picking up the odd yellow!

Football soon! Hope it continues to be covered over here.
While The Port are certainly a mixed bag, the communists over in Bay 25 are nice guys

What an eclectic crowd mix, Mt Smart is going to be

Hey Fellow Aucklanders. A few of us lads were talking last night about creating a small but proud section of supporters of the port bay 22! who want to show off what being a Jaffa and New Zealander uniquely means to you and I, without the tall poppy syndrome. This small section of us “The Paddock” aim to preserve a grassroots culture to our active support area and incorporate some of the funny things we all love about Auckland.

From nights on Karangahape, Big Ben pies & a dart, lion reds & a slap and kiwi classics from our forefathers. Bring your gumboots, mullets, lion red apparel, stubbies. Yes Kiwi sport culture has always been full of tall poppy’s but the port will change that and regardless I’m still always proud to be a Jaffa and kiwi.

Bar 101? I’m in!
But Auckland is about the only place in NZ without paddocks? They went looking for Auckland culture and found the 1970s in the countryside?

Dunno about the Lion Red. I drank some Waikato draught, but washed it down with Hapi Daze in aid of the Phoenix cause.

Still what I really wanna say is:

They’re the people’s republic of the Paddock of Port!
