Ooooh, that one's got a grain of truth in it

In that The Port have evolved in a close relationship with club management, in the sense that YF didn't, I believe?

(Although I do think The Port is a good name, at least no sillier than any other name)

While I'm not hardcore Port - I do wonder why people are so anti the name and the close relationship the port guys have created with the club, that's surely a good thing for fans to have a real connection to the club?  

Re the port name - I think that it's a generic enough name that it will work wherever the club ends up playing in Auckland, particularly if there ends up being a waterfront stadium.  That said Mt Smart is not far from Port Onehunga.
