Meh, don't mind me - I'm just having a whinge. I just don't like that they're straight up calling it an "American-style tailgating event". It gives me the same cringe vibes that the insistence on the Black Knights branding does or that gold ring that Foley was wearing at the unveiling event and claiming the players would get when they won the title, blah.

I am not against activations and events and admittedly do think the Nix could do more of it.
'Boot Parties' were a thing for a long time at Eden Park, so Auckland does have their own tradition of them.

With the ALW side playing at Porirua Park, I reckon that is something the Fever could try (even if its just bringing along a BBQ for people to chuck some sausages onto).
