just to echo the above - we had some really progressive chats with the port in our FRG this week and the club gave advice to the port rep and the rest of the FRG that the RBB would have more security presence than normal.

I think the takeaway is the club and the port did what they could - you can't control some idiots (applies to both sides) so the best that can be done is hefty bans/fines to all people who acted out.
To be honest chopah Aucklands handling of the away zones has been a shambles. They have been made aware of issues that may arise but seem determined to not listen to any advice or suggestions.
There has been plenty of stuff circulating that there could be issues ahead because of a number of issues but Auckland and their Security seemed to be reluctant to address any of these concerns.
To come out and say they had done what they could is just not true.
One things for sure they need to get it sorted because come finals the stakes and emotions will be higher.
What it dosnt need is Security to go the other way and get over controlling.
I much prefer the way YF does it have beer with opposition fans before and after the game just dont get why some Auckland fans seem to be so dammed angry.
