The T-AFC crew were so full of hubris for today. I reminded them that the Vuck have a truckload of finals experience and knocked the Nix out at this stage last year. And at least the Nix took it to extra time lol.

AFC were just a tiny bit sluggish. Vuck always getting there to the 50-50 balls. Could have been much worse if Dan Hall hadn't made some dynamite last minute tackles. All the crosses coming in seemed to be just a *touch* too deep.

On the other hand - if Moreno's two-goal-post effort last week had gone in, and that first goal hadn't taken a hell of a deflection of Pijnaker, the score would be precisely reverse. Football's a bitch and then you die.

Yep, despite everything over our nearly 18 year history, the Nix are indeed still the closest NZ team to making a grand final, at least that's something we have over Auckland.

Let's enjoy and gloat about tonight's result as much as we can before the Australia Cup comes around.
