Odd to hype an announcement if the Herald already announced it today. And dont NZME have some sort of official arrangement with AFC? They can't be happy with their media partner gazumping them like that, if it is the aussie kid being announced at 7am 
 afc get 2 bites this way, they probably leaked it

Especially for a player that isn’t Hiroki Sakai, it means your hardcore support has googled and YouTubed all about him and is ready to tell everyone else when the fanfare arrives tomorrow! 

And leaks are a bit edgy and attractive.
