Pride of Gizzy, Evernden fun fact. He played pro tennis with only one lung after a car accident as a teenager, and one lung was removed. Well Wiki says a lung. I thought it was a kidney

Wiki also says he now lives on Mercer Island just outside Seattle.

Had a weird little tennis relevant experience visiting Melbourne last year. Sitting in Collingwood in a park near those big housing commision towers full of immigrants, made a bit infamous during Covid as super spreaders.

Got talking to this local guy playing with his kids. Turns out he was a former NZ age group tennis player (Cook Islands descent), who had spent a few years in a US College on a scholarship there. Think he played with the likes of James Greenhalgh & Steven Downs (spp?) who won Junior Wimbledon doubles.

But sadly this guy's life had turned for the worst. His ex partner (mother of his kids) a drug addict, and he had battled mental illness. It was hard to imagine his former life as a promising sportsman. Just sad.

Sorry (not sorry) way off topic.
