of course, all Nix fans should be greatful that Auckland failed at pro football twice which gave our own dodgy real estate magnate to have a eureka moment and buy the licence, and despite being a terrible business man he kept the club running for years, paving the way for Welnix to ride in and stabilise thew market in NZ paving the way for an American billionaire to swoop in with his money and get al the special favours for his new team.
Stop moving the goal posts.
Going forward though I hope this club stops going down it's victim approach and actually tries to compete next season with the men, with the Wahinix, I'll reserve judgement til the first day next season to see who the coach is because Bev ain't gonna spend another year here if she can convince a club to hire her partner too.
AP loan, higher salary cap for the first two years - both very big advantages that noone else got this season. Other new clubs received the salary cap one when the joined - although I'm not sure the Nix did all those years ago - different times I guess.
The AP loan was massive, AFC scored the leagues best keeper via a loan back scheme which no one else could utilise, becuase it was against the rules. APL only approved it as AP was basically already in Auckland and had the big billionaire money sat beside him.
