Meh. (Imanix) You don’t define fandom for me.
I don’t mind Corica, he’s a winner and I hope he/AFC win tonight.
I don't like Corica but I hope AFC win.
I've lived in Welly, but am not from the capital. I've lived in many different places around Aotearoa.
I supported the Nix as they were the only NZ team in the ALM. That would be the same for thousands of other Nix fans, including many from Auckland.
So for sure you can be a Nix fan, and still wish AFC well against Australian clubs, especially Sydney.
If you are yes a born & bred Wellingtonian, who has never lived anywhere else in NZ you will likely feel different. And that's fine. It's just an innate feeling you have one way or the other, that no one but you can decide upon.
NZ ain't the UK (or most football mad countries) where club rivalries go back often 100+ years. Comparisons to how a Liverpool fan would never support Everton etc are pointless.
