Money don’t buy happiness, it only lets you rent it for a while…be honest: the cash doesn’t hurt. And the location is a bigger more internationally connected city, which helps.

The Mariners as ann exemplar endured seasons on the foot of the table. 3 seasons dead last. Then they had an owner come in who spent more money than they had to get them competitive. Now that ownership is gone and they’re floundering again. The last two seasons that we’ve said were our worst had CC just below and just above us.

Not sure what an international consortium might be but Wellington is lucky not to have had the international ownership experience Brisbane has had.
