Just for transparency i also dont think its right that the Phoenix get automatic qualification to the National League. Both them and Auckland should have to earn their spot not have it given to them.
I fail to see how anyone can think its okay for A League players to play in a competition where the team that earnt that spot play in an OFC competition.
If the excuse is that most of that team has disbanded, then a condition on entry to the OFC competition should be that if you qualify you have to be able to assemble the squad that won it.
And no AP as per normal you make assumptions that just arnt true and you have no idea about. I most certainly would be calling out the Phoenix if they were in the competition and had won it then replaced players in the team with A League players.
