So the FTA coverage was worth $0 to the other networks. I read on that "other forum" that TEN is paying FOX around $150k for the rights over 2 years. Kind a funny how most Aussies find that SKY TV paying around $300k is poor and don't met metrics lol. Even more funny is FFA not getting even a cent close to what SBS had payed for them.

HHHHmmmm Fox are paying 57 million when we go to 12 teams and 50 million at 10 teams... both Sky and Fox are Subscription TV providers.

Channel 10 is a FTA channel... the amount paid is low i.e 2 million ... where the fudge you got $300K I have no idea... see Fox pay FFA 2 million to onsell to 10... 10 will pay Fox whatever ...

Now to explain as by your post you don't understand the difference...

Channel 10 is a commercial Free to Air Broadcaster... This is different from a Subscription Broadcaster in that you don't need to pay to watch.

Football has been trying to get on a commercial FTA network for yonks ... reason to spread and grow the game.

If you need more explanations about the difference between being a FTA network and a Subscription broadcaster led me know...

O an on the money ... from the article.. the extra 2 million will be added to what Fox have already said they would pay.
