A-League newcomers Macarthur FC are set to sign one of the most generous stadium rental deals across all major codes, having agreed to hire Campbelltown Stadium for only a dollar per season.

The Bulls won't enter the competition until October 2020 but have already reached an agreement in principle with the venue's owners, Campbelltown City Council, over a 10-year lease to become the major tenants of the stadium.

Sources close to the negotiations suggest Macarthur FC will gain complete access to Campbelltown Stadium for practically free, paying one dollar for all operating costs. They will only be required to pick up the tab for staffing costs such as security, policing, food and beverage. It gives the club the flexibility to tailor staffing to the expected attendance of each fixture as part of a proposal that allows them to retain any and all profits made from the gate.
