Yokohama Marinos is the J League club Ange Pot has coached with great success last few seasons, before heading off to Celtic. Champions in 2019, which I understand was bit of a cinderella story. That's despite being 80% owned by Nissan, and the City Group having a minority share.

They are currently 2nd in the J League at about halfway point. I guess they have had an interim manager since Ange left. Also guessing he's had a hand in the club choosing Muscat as his successor, if true he's the new gaffer. He'll be under pressure from the word go no doubt, though different sort than his time at S-T. Wonder if he's eventually bring over any A League players, if he keeps the job long enough.

Also interesting that Luciano Trani, who was Muscat's assistant at S-T, and basically organised for Cacace to move to Belgium, is now back at the VUC. No idea when Trani left S-T, but I'm sure Libby will miss him - sounded like a bit of a father figure for him.

Wouldn't be a bad target to replace Uffie, if Talay moves on at the end of his 2 year contract, and Trani had head coach ambitions at all. He would know the NZ football scene more than most in Australia.
