The games if they happen, will also heavily rely on walk up crowds. Locals in whichever city looking at the weather on the day, and deciding only then if they will go or not.
And Auckland is generally a lower risk of a bitter southerly whipping through in June, than Welly.
But yeah the big picture is, the owners don't deserve any criticism for trying to ike out as much cash as they can from only having 2 true home games. They have been through several challenging shark times keeping this club afloat, and people should be thankful that looking to 2022 they will still have an A League club to support, which will highly likely be based permanently back in the capital.
Playing in AKL is NOT a home game either. That's like asking a team from Liverpool to play a European club in London yet calling it a home game.
Yes the club needs money but is there as much of a Covid sports attraction as people think? Games in Straya say no, likewise the cricket from NZ I've seen.
I think a lot will ride on results going forward, if the boys do well there will be decent crowds, if not, it will only be the diehard footie fans making AKL a bad choice.
Another obstacle will be the fact it will be almost winter unlike the last AKL game in the middle of a good summer.
That's only due to Germans not being allowed into the UK due to covid and Hungary being very much on top of Covid injections. Same situation as the Nix in the 'gong currently so not a good example.
