What distresses me is that there wouldn't be this kind of anger if a game was being taken to Hamilton or Dunedin, let's be honest. It's not a "Wellington first" thing, which would be understandable - it's "Auckland never". Is there a fear that if any games are played in Auckland the Nix will end up living at Eden Park?
Classic Aucklanders thinking everything is about them.
Imo, we should never play a home game outside of Wellington. I understand there are commercial realities to address, but in an ideal world everyone else can get to fudge.
In an ideal world Auckland would have a team in the aleague.
In an ideal world, the Welnix owners (passionate Wellingtonians they are) wouldn't be making a $3M plus financial loss this season, or an approx $1M loss all other seasons.
Plus in an ideal world any non ROF home games would be in a summer month like Feb, so removing one barrier stopping Wgtn fans who are involved with local club winter football, making the trek to the Garden of Eden or where ever.
