Isn't the whole problem that we used to have with "metrics" precisely because Wellington fans wouldn't turn up?
This whole thread is anecdotal evidence that people bring up to support their prejudices, me included. There's a fellow who reckons that Auckland people don't turn up to things when it's raining. Conversely, I'll never forget when I was visiting Wellington and I asked a local if he wanted to come to a Nix game with me (I think this would be 2013/4). He looked at me like I was crazy and said "Why would I do that? Don't they suck?"
