But why take away the option for people to give you more money? Nobody is going to go to the season membership page and go "there are too many options, forget it".
As for the airline analogy, the idea was that they're both essentially offering the same thing - a seat on a plane going to a destination vs a seat at a football game. The difference in service is greater in first class, as is the better view at halfway at the football. The point is they both capture a market of people willing to pay more money, and allows them to do so.
And I do like your idea steve-o of really pushing how much a basic season pass is per game "basic season memberships work out at about $x per game!". Simplifying the process is also a good idea, ticketek can make it complicated at the best of times.
I also agree they could make things like the club membership clearer. But if you get rid of them, all you're doing is taking away the opportunity for someone to give you money.
Doesn't seem like good business.
