Rob Morrison said Merrick was in negotiations to secure a new striker, a box-to-box midfielder, and "probably another defender". There is no evidence that securing the BPL friendlies has been the sole focus of the club.

James Brown (midfielder) Joey Gibbs (striker & u21) and Josh Mitchell (central defender) all released from the Jets...

Gibbs please. Unless we can do better?
