Taylor never talked to Ufuk about leaving, in fact the club was in talks with him about transitioning him into a management position after his career finished and were open to signing him on for another year. They also gave him a pay rise after he came back on reduced wages last season.

Ufuk had an inkling that Taylor wasn't happy, which is why he made him captain, but it was still a shock when Taylor announced his retirement and also when Taylor came out swinging against the club.

Clearly a communication breakdown there.
Article also says again about the difficulty of signing imports and getting them into Aus. But this hasn't stopped other clubs. Two new imports named by other clubs today. Also transfer deadline, closes on 18 Oct according to the article.
