Before the Olympics I thought Stanger was better than Pijnaker.

After Olympics I changed my mind.

Thought he was class at the U20 World Cup, it’s definitely a match fitness thing.

I reckon he needs to pick up game time at a league one/league two side or even do a Michael McGlinchey and make a move to the A-League.

Pijnaker went into the Olympics with maybe even less match fitness than Stanger. From memory Stanger was involved in a howler with Woud against Honduras, which rocked the confidence of both.

A move to yes a League Two club for young George maybe on the cards. However is that much lower than the Scottish 2nd tier (Championship)?? But yeah a whole complete sea change, moving downunder and some sun on that pasty Scottish skin could be worth a crack for him. His dad met his Kiwi mum in a Sydney pub, which sounds touch more romatic than Wee Mac's birth on a Petone roundabout.
