As the groups broke off, I gave up as I knew what they group discussions would turn into.

While they have legitimate concerns, it clearly was just turning into a bitch session.  Complaining about the lack of information so far,and then rejecting the offer of info from the mayor was just bizarre.

They gave the Mayor Ray Wallace a few minutes at the end. He rebutted a lot of what was said at the meeting’s start and pointed out that no council process had even started. The proposal will be received by council on Wednesday at  9.30am. Open to the public if anyone is free to go.
The group discussion on financing of the project was surprisingly good.

I had to laugh at one speaker, in one of the discussion groups, complaining about the way Spotless manage and run the stadium.... *sigh*
