Now the Wellington Chamber of Commerce are having their ten cents worth.

"In our view it would be irresponsible for councillors to possibly commit the region to a bill of $25 million and at least $350,000 a year this close to a decision on amalgamation."


That $350K is about $1 per head across the region. Oh my!

(i) notes that the CFT has proposed to Council a 12,000 capacity boutique stadium at the Petone Recreation Ground that it believes will stimulate significant economic, social and recreational benefits to Hutt City.

No, the CFT have proposed a stadium. A STADIUM. The DimPost used the term and suddenly reason was lost..... 
By the way a defintion of boutique is

  1. 1.

    a small shop selling fashionable clothes or accessories.

  2. 2.

    a business serving a sophisticated or specialized clientele.
