Hutt Park raceway, essentially on the rail line, a new station could be built. How many of the 5000 fans at present don't use the train to come to games? Doubt you'd lose too many fans with such a move. How long does it take by train to go from kaiwharawhara to woburn. In fact looking at the map, a train line goes right hehind the raceway land
Kaiwharawhara to Woburn - about 15 mins, Mind you Kaiwharawhara station is closed to access right now.
As for the Hutt Park (Raceway a term for the older, like me, fan now) it's nowhere near restos, bars... simply out of the way. No links with anything before or after. (The whole problem with the Hutt in a nutshell - no flows/no connection.) Mind you the Stop Out clubrooms would packed! :) ...not forgetting the Hutt Park pub.... best forgotten really,
Re that rail line. The line did go near there. It closed some time back. It was a spur line that accessed Seaview and the railway workshops. IIRC.
Wish it was open as it would lighten the load on Petone Esplanade. (One quote - 10,000 trucks and light vehicle movements a day along it now.)
