The best thing about the angst on other threads today is the underlying optimism and expectations we supporters now have. A few years ago we would have been partying with a draw against the back to back champions, but now we are dissapointed and believe we are better and good enough to have taken all the points..
For the corresponsing fixture last season, when we also drew 1-1 with the Roar, we were all ecstatic with the draw. So it wasn't just a few years ago, but exactly one year ago.
That was away from home though, and Brisbane were hammering everyone at that time! Can't remember how we were going, but I think we all thought a severe hammering was on the cards.
We had just come off three losses in a row. I completely agree with you, and I think that shows how far we have come in the last 12 months as a club.
