What's most damming about this interview is not the conflict of interest. It's that Ernie has been in the role for a year and has never had any official discussion with New Zealand football. This is our only professional team and the fact that NZ football has never spoken to the coach, smacks of both laziness or incompetence. Both are stackable offences. It is for that reason that De Jong should lose his job (not at Sky but at NZ football).
