I would rather not have a Chinese consortium own the club,
Wait, what? Is this out-and-out Yellow Peril xenophobia?
There is a difference between a large commercial sponsor (foreign/multinational/whatever), and a large foreign/multinational/whatever owner. I would accept your criticism as valid if you heard me - ever - disagreeing with Huawei being our sponsor.
Instead, I find your criticism to be an example of the common and well-meaning, but nonetheless daft, "knee-jerk" type logic. I pointed out an example of Bakhri group as a case of poor foreign ownership, in response to another poster suggesting Chinese consortium as an owner/investor for us. In other words, someone discussed a specific country consortium as a potential owner, and when I disagreed, it made me a xenophobe in your eyes, unless I promptly explained myself.
There is a big difference between calling people threatening and fearsome because they are slanty-eyed, and calling the idea of ownership by a large Chinese consortium a possibly bad one. This is especially that I based it - in the same sentence - on an example of what happened (and is still happening) at Brisbane Roar, a club bought by a large Indonesian consortium.
Racism is a big word with sharp edges. Wield it carefully.
