They don't expect to make money. They've always said their ideal situation is for the team to break even. They've built academies and brought in a lot of good players, it's not paying off for them but they're definitely spending a lot of money.
Even when they were in line to make money after the season where they finished fourth and then sold Burns they invested that money back into the team. I doubt they ever expect to see a return.
