He's already said he'll sit out next year if necessary. I'm not sure what the upside in that is for us?... Unless the point is to make us look like unreasonable c*nts and therefore less attractive to others who might be considering leaving their home and coming in/over (players or staff).
Imo, making him (or anyone else) sit out a season would make us look petty, insecure, and generally as weak as piss. If he does go somewhere else; he's outlined perfectly understandable reasons for doing so, and good luck to him/them - I look forward to us giving you/them a hiding where it matters - on the pitch.
