Remember, we are not operating in a bubble here, if little to no football is being played elsewhere in the world and teams everywhere are shedding players and/or wages - we have every chance to retain whoever we want in much the same way as if the landscape was rosey.

Well Perth Glory stood down all there players so im sure the Nix will do it next, just cant see any player wanting to stay now -Ball and Hooper will deff go to Roar now a nd the rest are easy pickings for Bulls FC.

roar have released their players, i think our players are off to wanganui city.

They haven't released their players, they have stood them down, which is something that I don't think we have in NZ employment law but is something they can do in Australia. They don't have the government paying 30% of the wages of affected businesses in Australia as we do in NZ, so hopefully the Phoenix don't have to be that drastic.

Nixs  are an Aus reg club so it has to follow the other A-League clubs in letting the players go unless you think money will just some how magically fall from the sky into  Welnix pocket then your dreaming and more importantly wrong.

As I said, stand down is not the same as letting players go. The Phoenix compete in Australia but they are a NZ company and are bound by NZ employment law.

I wouldn't be surprised if the players agreed to a paycut like other codes, or agreed to a pay holiday, or a few of the more expensive players went mutual, or even if the club folded, but get your facts straight at least.
