The tv revenue is down, but isn't their share up?

Also, clubs will in the future get the gate takings, not the FFA so it is not all doom and gloom financially moving forward.

By that the FFA are now getting less of the TV revenue? Don't forget though a new team is entering (MacArthur), so the pie will now be split by 12 teams, not 11.

*By my really rough maths (discounting any cash that FFA were flogging out of the TV deal) - previously Foxtel paying $60M odd a year so say $5.5M for each of the 11 teams. Now is $30M for 12 teams so $2.5M per club. So Nix (like all clubs) getting around $3M less per season.

Hooper is gone, that saves reportedly $1M. So you just need to save another $2M over the club elsewhere, with some cost cutting!  Sucks but has to be done. And yeah other factors like no crowds, getting a transfer fee for Cacace etc etc etc have not factored in at all.

*disclaimer this is very very rough mathematics. Email Nix accountant for hopefully a more accurate picture.
