A visa striker has got to be the priority now. I expect Ball and Davila to be far more happy and settled, for this 3rd 'hub', having their families with them. Hopefully that means their form returns to more pre Covid, than post Covid.

But still is a real danger Nix's attack could be very toothless (as it was post Covid), without someone to replace Hooper. So if you have limited funds left, that's where you have to throw your money.

Deklan Wynne would be a great pickup as that LB/CB cover. But is anyone's guess what his plans are at the moment. Tom Doyle a poor man's option, if the cupboard is really bare.

Think Talay, Gill & Welnix should be congratulated on the squad they have assembled to date. Considering that the Nix will be based in Australia indefinitely (and still not 100% sure which city longer term), and all the uncertainty that comes from that, they have done a good job. You look at basket case like Newcastle's situation, and have to be thankful Nix are in such sound stable ownership hands.
