It was just a throwaway comment really from Morrison, in an interview with a Canberra? newspaper. Perhaps just a reminder to an Australian audience after all the recent expansion bids etc, that the largest popn base/commercial market in Australasia without an A League team is across the ditch. Get the locals at least thinking, that rather than removing a team from NZ, they should be adding one. Clever comment from Morrison.

Certainly though good to hear that Welnix would be supportive of a 2nd team in NZ, but seriously doubt they will be looking to bankroll it.
