Those would count if it was known he was leaving at the time but until he signed for Adelaide, the club hadn't even acknowledge that he had left the club. The average fan never got a chance to say goodbye to him.

Vinnie Lia = Wellington's Alessandro di Piero     (comparison not so much in skills level, as in ever playing for just one good club only and then suddenly moving to an Australian mainland club)
