Yeh, I think a tough business group - which is any or most pro level football clubs will
A) not want to overpay for a young player and
B) want to see a potential one year wonder prove himself further before promoting him to bigger leagues.

They have bought a relatively cheap option on a potentially good young keeper and now let this play out to see how he goes over another season. 

We got a decent transfer fee and potential future add ons. AP got a decent pay rise. It's our business plan.

NZ got an amped up rivalry.

Everybody happy. More or less.

Now we want to see AP make 5 of seven on target brillant shot saves versus us, and Auckland lose 2-0. Every derby. 😅
