Thanks Coochie - now I will be lying at night sleepless wondering why, with such decent players, the White-Reds had such crap Euro 2024 tournament (again).

Damn, how have I only just now clocked that your profile pic is Szczecin's badge. Ekstraklasa is such an underrated league

Yep, guilty as charged. The badge is of my Pogon Szczecin, which started up in 1948 (after the borders changed post WWII and the city was included in Polish territories).
The club badge honours the colours of the German football club pre-WWII which also had a similar griffin logo. The city itself, and the province of West Pomerania, have a red griffin on a blue background as their coat-of-arms colours. The red and navy strip has traditionally been the Pogon kit colour.

Yep, guilty as charged.
Check out the much underrated TV police procedural crime series, "The Thaw", with a strong female lead character, set and filmed in my city of birth. Looks worse than the city really is, with light filters set to "very grey" and the art design set to "gritty and dilapidated". A bit slow and moody, and not as tightly written as various Scandi Noir that it models itself on, but quite useful if one yearns to improve one's vocabulary of Polish swearwords. Good quality English subtitles.
While not currently available in NZ, it can be easily found on any of many popular servers that shall not be named. It will probably turn up on Neon eventually as it is a HBO production.
