You are probably right. But Liga MX is a very decent league, levels above the ALM. Most the Mexican national team come from Liga MX. You can be cut from their top tier, and still be a good player.
Pizzuto is only 23. Davila came to the Nix at age 28-29 but his CV wasn't that impressive at face value either.
However I imagine the Nix will be chasing that older more experienced visa 10 like Chico, and Ulises before him. Such a shame about Davila, a delight to watch on his day.
