After effectively using the A-League as a shop window after playing in obscurity in Iraq, Eze appears set to depart when his 12-month contract expires, finishing with 10 goals – one behind joint golden boot winners Sam Cosgrove and Luka Jovanovic.


However, the Phoenix have a strong track record when it comes to signing strikers and could have all five import spots available to reinforce the squad, with every visa player off contract.
