I just read the thread start to finish, and when I read danepak's first post I thought what a dork. But he was obviously feeling pretty down about the team at that time, and honestly believed what he was posting.
Fair play to him for returning and saying he was wrong, can't fault the honesty. He could've just quit the forum or stayed out of this thread, many people would've taken that easy option. Fair play danepak.
That's like a ref at the end of the game coming over and saying, actually I stuffed that decision up. Much appreciated when it does happen.
I only played one season of football in recent years, but this happened in that season, and I loved it.
Someone slid in, I shifted the ball just in time, and he cleaned me out. Ref called nothing, I was a bit stroppy, then as I got up and ran past him he said "mate if he didn't get the ball at all I'm sorry, from my angle it looked like he did". I said thanks and moved on, it was very refreshing.
