I think before anyone gets emotional about it, it is possible he may well have been negotiating before he came here. Its possible we may not have put a pitch into him or we decided to wait until the end of the season to see how he went before making in an offer. If its the latter then you can't deny the guy the chance to want to secure he future.
no problem with him securing his future, I have an issue with us signing a player as a short term fix to a long term problem.
yep, Hoggs signing is clearly a trial with potential for longer. Cernak's signing appeared that it was similar but if he was heading to Perth prior to us taking him on board then us bringing him on board makes no sense to me. Why should we be the ones that get him gametime before next season, all GM's talk at the moment is long term future of the club etc, this signing simply stops Boyd, Fenton or Sanchez getting a start.
