I have just done the figures on different owners,  including this year as we will finish 7th.  Average finish under Terrys Ownership 6.5. Average finish over 4 years. Under Welnix (since 2011/2012) 7.2.

Different times and the league has moved on and all that, and I know it is simplistic but in relative terms, and at the end of the day it is only results that matter, we have gone backwards under Welnix ownership.

This is more a case of the league (and other teams - apart from the Jets) have moved ahead at a greater rate than we have.

A few of those Terry years had different numbers of teams though soon it's not a straight like-for-like comparison. Coming 8th in an 8 team league isn't the same as coming 8th in a 10 team league

you can only play what is there. Also in a 10 team league you only have a 10 % chance of being last. In an 8 team league you have a 12 % chance of coming last. Strictly numerical of course. One year there were actually 11 teams in the Terry era.

You finish last and fourth last across 2 seasons in an 8 team league and your average position is 6.5, do the same in a 10 team league and your average position is 8.5. In both instances you miss out of the finals by 1 spot finishing fourth last.
