No, it takes Adelaide 1 point further away. What's the point in coming sixth? We get one extra game in Sydney, sure we might win it but if we've come sixth we've come home poorly and won't have any confidence or momentum. We need a home semi or bust.

We have more of a chance of winning the Comp by coming 6th than 7th. I'd argue it's make the playoffs or bust. One point for either team does mean that Adelaide is 1 point further away, but means Newcastle only got 1 point closer.

A draw is a good result because it’s only a total of 2 points given out to those around us on the league table, rather than 3.
