Marco finally set to make his comeback. Has been included in VfBII squad for their 3. Bundesliga game on Friday night. (VfB's 2nd team play in the 3rd tier).

Woo hoo!!!

Finally game time for Marco - played the first half in Stuttgart reserves' 0-0 draw with Duisburg.

It's cool when the reserves play meaningful games in the German Third Division - crowd here was 11,296 in Duisburg (the stadium holds 35,000). Duisburg lie sixth on the 3.Bundsliga table but finished eleventh in the 2.Bundsliga last season - relegated for financial irregularities.

VfB Sttugart II languish in 16th in the 20 team 3.Bundesliga. four points off a relegation spot. Not at all a good season for the club then...

At least the first team won 2-0 v Freiburg this weekend to take them marginally above the relegation zone:

15 VfB Stuttgart 29 7 6 16 44:57 -13 27
16 Hamburger SV 29 7 6 16 45:60 -15 27 Play-offs
17 1.FC Nürnberg 29 5 11 13 34:54 -20 26 Relegation
18 Eintracht Braunschweig 28 5 7 16 25:50 -25 22 Relegation
