Personally I'd like to see him in Mexico. Tigres were interested (best team in the country, have French internationals Gignac and Kolodziejczak, as well as former EPL players Enner Valencia and Eduardo Vargas) back before he signed to Heerenveen, and the play style couldn't suit him better.
Tons of players who haven't had the mindset to work in European football, like Keisuke Honda and Ravel Morrison, are doing great in Mexico right now
