Interesting that today’s email to members about the event adds “be there to hear some exciting club news before anyone else” which wasn’t in the original email.

Maybe despite it going out late this afternoon the media team drafted it before the club decided when to make the Chiefy announcement? Or do we have a new nugget to look forward to?

My guess is that it will be in relation to the Wellington Phoenix charter school - released on the clubs website a few weeks back only to be quickly deleted, but not before the quick buggers at The Post picked up on it.

Essentially this was one of the reasons the club wanted to take over management of Fraser Park. The fact that the event is also taking place at Fraser Park is probably an apt hint in itself...

Failing that though, a boutique stadium, some international investor pumping $$$ into the club, or an international club partnership would probably also be quite welcome. 😁
